In Flux brings Baroque aesthetics into a contemporary register. The textures scrolling across the figures began as renders of my digital avatar, which I ran through AI and back again. It is an iterative translation of myself from one software to the next. Layered with artifacts that reform and reshape with my movement, the piece is about the embellishment of surface and the beauty of fragmentation. Who we appear to be is always shifting with situation and circumstance.
